Founded in 2002 by James Okoro and Flora Brannigan, Meridian Studio has grown into one of London's most respected independent architecture and interior design practices. We work across scales — from a single room to a whole neighbourhood — with the same rigour and the same belief: that buildings should justify their existence.
We are RIBA chartered, Passive House certified, and registered with the Architects Registration Board. We work primarily in London and the South East, with select projects nationally and internationally.

From single dwellings to small housing developments. We handle planning, design, technical documentation and site oversight — rigorous at every stage.
Spatial planning, material selection, bespoke joinery design and FF&E specification. We design interiors as architecture — with structure and purpose, not trend.
Offices, restaurants, hotels and mixed-use developments. We understand the operational demands of commercial space and design accordingly.
Sensitive interventions in historic fabric. We work closely with local authorities and Historic England to navigate consent and deliver exemplary outcomes.
Strategic frameworks for complex sites. Urban design, place-making, community engagement and planning strategy for mixed-use and residential-led developments.
RIBA Stages 1–6. From the first sketch on a napkin to the moment you turn the key. We don't hand off projects. The same team that designs your building will oversee its construction.
We begin by listening. An honest feasibility study establishes what is possible within your budget, your site and your planning context — before a pencil is lifted.
Options are developed and tested against the brief. We present multiple approaches, explain the reasoning, and refine to a preferred scheme through dialogue — not decree.
Full planning applications, structural coordination, building regulations and tender documentation. We manage the consultants, the programmes and the paperwork.
We remain on the project through construction — issuing instructions, inspecting works, certifying payments and resolving issues before they become problems. We hand over buildings, not documents.
